BOMB BLAST IN PULWAMA ON CRPF PERSONNEL.
|
40 CRPF personnel on National Highway was attacked by a
vehicle-borne suicide bomber at
Lethpora in the Pulwama district, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The attack resulted
in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and the attacker. The responsibility for the
attack was claimed by the Pakistan-based Islamist militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. The attacker was Adil
Ahmad Dar, a local from Indian-administered
Kashmir, and a member of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Above was just a bit of briefing, there are many relevant and
authentic points which will prove Pakistanโs strong involvement in the Pulwama
attack. The day 14th February will be considered as a black day for India.
WHAT IS THIS
JAISH-E-MOHAMMED?
Jaish-e-Mohammed is a Pakistan-based Deobandi jihadist terrorist
group active in Kashmir. The groups primary motive is to separate Kashmir from India
and merge it into Pakistan. It projects Kashmir as a โgatewayโ to the entire
India, whose Muslims are also deemed to be in need of liberation. It has
carried out several attacks primarily in India. It also maintained close
relations with the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan and continues to be allied
to them.
JeM was created with the support of Pakistanโs Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), which
uses it to fight in Kashmir and other places, and continues to provide it
backing. The JeM has been banned in Pakistan since 2002, but resurfaced under
other names. It continues to openly operate several facilities in the country.
INVESTIGATION
The National Investigation Agency
dispatched a 12-member team to probe the attack, working with the Jammu and Kashmir Police.
Initial investigation suggested a
Maruti Suzuki Eeco van which was stuffed with more than 300 kilograms (660 lb)
of explosives, including 80 Kilograms of RDX, a high explosive, and ammonium
nitrate. The car was physically brought from the across the border by couriers
in backpacks. Before using the van in blasts, its chassis number, registration
and other identification marks were defaced.
According to people aware of the
matter, the investigation has established Pakistanโs involvement in the attack
given the use of an improvised explosive
device.
NIA accused
Mohammad Umair, the commander of Jaish in Kashmir is believed to have plotted
the attack, of radicalising and motivating Dar, the Kashmiri dropout who rammed
an SUV loaded with explosives into a bus carrying at least 40 CRPF paramilitary
troopers.
WHO IS MASOOD AZHAR?
![]() |
MASOOD AZHAR
|
Masood Azhar is the founder and leader of the terrorist organisation Jaish-e-Mohammed, active mainly in Pakistan administered Azad Kashmir. Pakistani authorities took him into โprotective custodyโ after the Pathankot attack in India, which was widely reported as an โarrestโ.
The Jaish-e-Mohammed chief
was a close associate of Osama bin
Laden, terror motivator in several African countries and also known by many
as the Pakistan cleric who brought jihad into the religious discourse at
mosques in the UK.
The influence of the 50-year-old overweight terrorist mastermind
was so huge that, when he was released by India in exchange for freeing the
hijacked Indian Airlines aircraft IC-814 on December 31, 1999, in Kandahar, Laden hosted a banquet for
him the same night.
Azhar was arrested for preaching jihad in Jammu and Kashmir in
1994. One of his British recruits, Omar Shaikh, as a member of the terrorist
group Harkat-ul-Ansar (HUA), kidnapped four western tourists in India in 1994
in order to secure the release of Azhar.

BALAKOT
AIRSTRIKE

BALAKOT AIRSTRIKE
|
According to India, the jets struck a Jaish-e-Mohammed-operated
militant camp at balakot killing a โvery largeโ number of militants and
returned back into Indian airspace unharmed without being engaged by Pakistani
aircraft. Pakistan conceded the violation of their airspace near Muzaffarabad
but rejected the claim that India targeted an alleged terrorist camp. It
asserted that a scrambling forced the Indian jets to retreat in haste dropping
their payloads in vacant fields and forest and that no casualties or
infrastructural damage were inflicted.
WHY BALAKOT FOR THE AIRSTRIKE?
Fifteen years ago, the major terrorist
training camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in
Balakot in Pakistan found a mention in a purported secret US Defence
Department file leaked by WikiLeaks.
The memorandum talks about a Pakistani
national Hafez K. Rahman, a Guantanamo Detainee, who was 20 years old and born
in Gujrar, Pakistan, who turned out to be a jihadi.
The 31 January, 2004 document, signed by Major General Geoffrey
Miller of the US Army says Rahman received training in Balakot, Pakistan, a
location known to house a โtraining camp that offers both basic and advanced
terrorist training on explosives and artillery.โ
It says Rahman has admitted to volunteering to fight jihad against
the US and its allies, remaining after the events of September 11th
to continue to fight, and receiving training from the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
The JeM espouses Jihad against the US and is directly supported by
Al-Qaida. It says Rahman was influenced by extremist Mullahs in Pakistan and
decided he would go to Jihad in support of the Taliban.
IAF SHOT DOWN PAKISTANI FIGHTER JET AFTER IT TARGETED MILITARY
INSTALLATIONS IN JAMMU AND KASHMIR.
A Pakistani fighter jet violated Indian air space tried to infiltrate
in through PoK, F-16 fighter jet of Pakistani air force tried to target
military installations on Indian side but as our Indian air force was on a high
state of readiness and alertness, Pakistanโs attempts were foiled successfully
as our fighter jet MiG-21shot down Pakistanis
F-16 while thwarting Pakistani fighter jets that had entered Indian airspace in
Jammu and Kashmir, our Indian air force MiG-21 bison crashed on the PoK(Pakistan
occupied Kashmir), MiG-21pilot
wing-commander(IAF) Abhinandan
Varthaman was missing in action. Later on, Pakistan claimed to have pilot
Abhinandan under their custody.
On 27 February 2019, Varthaman was flying a MiG-21 as a part of a
sortie that was scrambled to intercept an intrusion by Pakistan aircraft into Jammu
and Kashmir. In the dog fight that ensued, he crossed into Pakistan territory
where he was struck by a missile. Varthaman ejected and descended safely in the
village of horran in Pakistan administered
Kashmir, approximately 7 km from the Line
of Control.
It was claimed by local villagers that Varthaman could be
identified as an Indian pilot by the Indian flag on his parachute. Upon landing,
Varthaman asked the villagers if he was in India, to which a young boy replied
in the affirmative. Varthaman reportedly followed up with pro-India slogans and
asked for drinking water while informing the locals of a back injury. The locals
responded with pro-Pakistan slogans, after which Varthaman began to run while
firing warning shots. He ran for approximately 500 meters, to a small pond, where
he attempted to sink and swallow some of his documents.
Subsequently, he was captured and manhandled by the villagers
before being rescued by the Pakistan army.
